Jacto will bring solutions in spraying with exclusive technologies to Nampo.
Jacto, a multinational agricultural machinery, solutions, and service company, will present several solutions for spray operations at Nampo in Bothaville from May 13 to 16. One of Jacto’s highlights at this year’s Nampo edition will be the self-propelled sprayer, Uniport 4530, featuring 42-meter booms and several technological resources that provide more efficient and sustainable spray operations.
Uniport 4530’s spray system was designed with exclusive Jacto components. Most components are designed and assembled at Jacto – a worldwide reference in spraying – thus ensuring the quality and robustness required for the hard farming work. The machine has 42-meter booms that allow working with low pressure on the tires, reduce soil compaction, and increase crop productivity.
“South African agriculture is one of the most advanced in the world. Therefore, South Africa is one of the most important markets to Jacto among the more than 100 countries we currently export to. This year, we will take spray solutions to Nampo aimed at all types of farmers and crops,” explained Edson Bueno, Jacto Sales Manager for Africa.
When equipped with 42-meter booms, Uniport 4530 can have an operational productivity of up to 90 ha/h, which is 12.5% higher than that of 36-meter booms. Uniport 4530’s crop damage index with 42-meter booms is 14% smaller than that of 36-meter booms.
Besides, the vehicle features a Unitrack steering system that allows working with a 35% smaller turning radius, reducing crop damage by up to 40% when maneuvering. The system enables four-wheel maneuvering, eliminating trampling when entering and exiting field plots and considerably reducing maneuvering time.
Among Uniport 4530 embedded technology highlights is PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), which allows spraying with superior quality, savings, and precision, while maintaining the working pressure even with sprayer speed variations and compensating flow rate while spraying at curves.
Integrated into the nozzle-by-nozzle system, PWM technology automatically manages operations and is activated only when necessary. One of its main advantages is keeping the droplet size regardless of speed changes. Approximately 50% of gains in spray uniformity are estimated in curve and maneuver operations with automatic compensation of the applied volume along the spray boom.
The sprayer has a 4x4 hydrostatic transmission system with intelligent traction control integrated into the 243 CV diesel engine and an ideal weight distribution among the axles, allowing spraying in the most different terrains. The system automatically identifies the need to control the vehicle’s traction without the operator’s action, thus promoting more comfort and precision in spray operations.
Besides Uniport 4530, visitors will also check other models of the Uniport family, such as Uniport 2530, Uniport 3030, and Uniport 3030 Vortex. Every model features an OTMIS technological package, Jacto’s brand for precision agriculture, which gathers features such as lightbar (GPS), hydraulic automatic pilot, and a nozzle-by-nozzle technology that minimizes application gaps and overlaps.
Pull-type sprayers
Jacto will also show farmers a wide range of pull-type sprayers, including the Coral AM 14, Advance 3000 AM24, and Condor 1200 models. They offer efficient spraying to small and medium farmers with high working capacity. The sprayers feature precision agriculture technology that avoids gaps and overlaps.
Spraying solutions for fruit crops
In the past decades, Jacto has developed several sprayers aimed at fruit crops, such as the air blast sprayers of the Arbus line. With a chemical solution capacity of 200 to 400 liters, the sprayers of the Arbus line provide efficient coverage for low and tall crops with low drift. At Nampo 2025, visitors can see the Arbus 400, Arbus 500, Arbus 1000, Arbus 2000, and Arbus 4000 models.
