Jacto's institutional campaign reinforces the protagonism of rural producers
FEBRUARY 2019 – The growth seen every year and the development of new farming technologies prove the agribusiness is at full speed. According to USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture), in the last decade, between 2007/08 and 2017/18 harvests, the worldwide rice production increased 14%, wheat production 25%, corn production 35% and soybean production increased from 219.5 million tons to 339.5 million tons totaling a number 55% higher.
In the center of the agribusiness scenario is the women and men who work in the fields and who struggle hard for better production results. A proof of this is that the significant increases in production have not taken place only due to the expansion of agricultural areas. For example, worldwide soybean productivity has increased from 2.40 ton/ha to 2.72 ton/ha also according to USDA. However, despite this great importance, rural producers worldwide face may challenge and need to be prepared for the future with confidence.
Aware of the challenges of modern agriculture and participating in worldwide discussions on agricultural production always alongside its customers, Jacto has defined as theme of its 2019 institutional campaign to reinforce the protagonism of farmers and the importance of combining productivity with sustainability.
Throughout the year, Jacto will have the theme “Jacto. Serving who makes the future” as the driving force behind its institutional actions. The theme is also the inspiration for the company communication’s actions and it will be used in communication materials, the company’s site and social media.
“The motivation behind the campaign is to reinforce the protagonism of producers and Jacto’s role in serving them with innovation and technology so they can produce better and more, being able to take care of resources so they can produce today and in the future”, explains Wanderson Tosta, Jacto Marketing Director .
A word associated with a message which invites for reflection on the day-today of women and men in the fields has been chosen for each month: Commitment, Confidence.
