Jacto to introduce the autonomous sprayer for the forestry sector at Expoforest
JULY 2023 - Jacto to introduce the autonomous sprayer Arbus 4000 JAV with new specifications for the forestry sector at Expoforest 2023, from August 9 to 11, in Ribeirão Preto, SP. Equipped with 18-meter booms and a 4,000-liter tank, the vehicle spray without an operator working in person on the machine.
The equipment is controlled interactively via a console that can be in the hands of the person responsible for the operation. The technology allows working with more than one JAV simultaneously with convoy function, virtual alignment of machines, and individual configuration of tasks for each vehicle.
Another feature of the autonomous forestry sprayer is intelligent obstacle detection, which means the JAV will automatically stop when identifying an obstacle, leaving the decision of whether or not to proceed with the operation at the discretion of the person in charge.
In economic terms, the Arbus 4000 JAV sprayer offers an automatic section shut-off. It turns on and off spraying automatically when entering and leaving a field plot or passing in an already sprayed area. Therefore, farmers achieve higher product savings.
The 132-cv diesel engine allied to the independent suspension system enables working at higher speeds and offers more durability to the chassis. Another vehicle technology highlight is the rear steering system UNITRACK which allows operating with a smaller turning radius, thus reducing maneuvering time in rows and consequently increasing operation performance in hectares per hour.
“With this new specification of the autonomous sprayer, Jacto enhances its performance in technologies for autonomous operations. The company already has the Arbus 4000 JAV for citrus and other perennial crops and now enters the forestry sector”, says Fabio Torres, Jacto Next Business Manager – Jacto Digital Service Area.
The equipment is in the validation phase, in which we evaluate the vehicle's design and whether the technology is adequate for the reality of forestry operations. Only after the approval of this phase will the Arbus 4000 JAV be produced with these specifications on a large scale and will be available for the market in an unprecedented marketing model in the form of a subscription. "It works as a complete solution for applications, spray operation monitoring, and cutting-edge vehicle technology with transforming gains based on information collected by the machine and from the environment", adds Torres.
The 2023 edition of Expoforest – Feira Florestal Brasileira will gather approximately 300 exhibiting companies and an estimated public of 40 thousand visitors.
