Jacto highlights self-propelled fertilizer spreader and spraying equipments at Nampo 2024
Always committed to providing farmers with the best technologies, Jacto participates at Nampo 2024, in South Africa, presenting a large part of its portfolio of spraying and fertilization solutions. One of the announces at the main agricultural trade shows on the African continent is Uniport 3030 Vortex. The Company also brings agricultural machinery for the most diverse types of crops.
“Uniport 3030 Vortex is versatile, adapting to different types of terrain, an important need of the African continent. Its solution assembly allows spray speed up to 35 km/h and higher operational productivity. It can achieve gains of up to 35% and fuel reduction of up to 35%”, explain Edson Bueno, regional sales manager at Africa.
Equipped with air assistance and nozzle-by-nozzle technology (up to 10% product savings), Uniport 3030 Vortex delivers better application quality and drift reduction. It features 32-meter booms and a 3,000-liter tank, and the working height can be adjusted from 0.5 m to 2.75 m to protect crops of different sizes.
Jacto will also display its self-propelled sprayer Uniport 2030 which has a 2,000-liter tank, 24-meter or 30-meter booms, and a 4x4 hydrostatic transmission, which, together with a 198 hp engine and low weight, confers this sprayer capacity to work in a wide variety of terrains with high operational performance. Besides, the ideal weight distribution between the axles allows spraying on terrains with a slope of up to 30%.
All models of the Uniport line are equipped with the complete technological package of the OTMIS line, Jacto’s brand for precision agriculture. Some features of the OTMIS line are the automatic pilot that automatically steers the sprayer and the automatic section control, which automatically opens and closes spray boom sections. Both technologies reduce gaps and overlaps, save agrochemicals, and lessen environmental impact.
Most modern fertilizer spreading
Another highlight of this Nampo edition is Uniport 5030 NPK fertilizer spreader. It has a 5,000-kg capacity tank, up to 50-meter application width for granular fertilizers, and a 12-meter one for powder products. The fertilizer spreader has many technologies that reduce cost and lower environmental impact.
One of these technologies is the automatic 12-section control. The tool broadens the solutions available for Jacto’s portfolio of broadcast spreading, integrating the technological differentials of Uniport 5030 NPK self-propelled fertilizer spreader.
The technology allows automatically segmenting the application range into up to 12 sections. It is a system that brings fertilizer spreading an essential cost reduction with fertilizers. The equipment minimizes overlaps when entering and leaving boundaries by individually closing and opening different sections. With this technology, the reduction in fertilizer consumption can reach 15%, representing savings for the farmer and excellent environmental protection.
The dosage to be applied can be controlled via the PrecisionWay system. This technology determines the fertilizer drop point in the disks and the shape of the blades. It distributes the inputs at the exact dosage with quality and uniformity throughout the application range.
Other technologies present in both equipment are SmartSet and boundary control. SmartSet is a software built to assist in adjusting the Uniport 5030 NPK application range. Through a website, the necessary regulation data can be obtained for various brands and types of fertilizers in four steps.
Spray solutions for small and medium-sized farmers
During Nampo, visitors can check the boom sprayer ideal for small and mediumsized farmers. With 24 meters of booms, the boom sprayer Advance 3000 AM24 that feature fully hydraulic opening and closing, with end segments made of corrosion-resistant aluminum. It is divided into 8 spray sections and has anti-drip valves, in-line filters, and 0.35-m to 0.50-m nozzle spacing.
With the option of raising the boom frame, the sprayer enables efficient work along the crop's entire cycle. The high-capacity tanks require fewer stops for refills. Featuring 24-meter booms, it delivers superior operational productivity, is up to 12% faster in coverage time of the area being treated, and reduces losses by up to 13%, causing less crop damage, when compared to compared to 21-meter booms.
Spray solutions for fruit growing
One of the main segments included in Jacto’s spray technologies is fruit growing. For Nampo, Jacto will bring Arbus 500, a versatile product that meets different crops and needs. It allows maneuvers in narrow places. Arbus 500 offers excellent spraying productivity and protects large crop areas in less time.
Configurable in many ways, we have the Arbus 500, with excellent coverage and lower power consumption, Arbus 500 with vertical deflector, ideal for aerial crops, Arbus 500 625 with excellent penetration for high leaf density, and the Arbus 500 Tower, minimizes drift factors and provides excellent coverage.
Configured with bijet nozzle holders, it allows the configuration and quick change of the nozzles with a simple rotation which facilitates the use in new calibrations, improving the application quality and increasing productivity,.
Portable Equipment
Aiming to improve operations, from small to large producers and at different stages of cultivation, Jacto is presenting portable equipment that stands out for its high operational performance, in the line of spraying and pruning equipment.
Spraying Solutions - The first highlight is in the line of battery-powered sprayers: the Jacto SB is the best-seller in the category due to its quality, ease of use and agility in the field. Next, we have the Jacto DJB-20S, which has stood out at the event since its launch for all its innovation and technology, such as operation reports via smartphone connection, the two operating modes (spraying and dosing), precise dose adjustments (from 5 to 500 ml), the superior comfort due to its padded structure, 3-point cushion belt, among other features that make this equipment unique in the world.
The Jacto Backpack Sprayers and the portable equipment batteries come with a 3-year warranty, are rechargeable, made with Li-Ion (Lithium-Ion), and have a lifespan of more than 2500 cycles, approximately 8 years if properly maintained. In addition, it maintains tension, allowing for constant spraying from start to finish.
Pruning Equipment - Consolidating in the line of pruning equipment, Jacto presents models that have strengthened the brand's presence in this segment: Jacto PM-12, sheers for picking fruit, flowers, thinning and trimming fruit trees and other crops, cutting up to 15 mm and with an anti-corrosion treatment, preventing oxidation; Jacto PM-20, sheers for pruning and maintaining fruit trees, cuts up to 20 mm, with anti-corrosion treatment; Jacto PM-31 is a lopper for maintenance and renewal pruning of fruit trees, cutting branches up to 30 mm with an anvil type-cut and at distant heights.; Jacto PM-24W, saw that cuts branches up to 60 mm, specifically for softer woods, while the Jacto PM-25W saw, made for harder woods, can cut up to 80 mm. Both have carbon steel blades, making the equipment more resistant; Jacto TM-50, tying machine for guiding branches.
